Veco France offers three large ranges of working screens for continuous sugar centrifuge (commonly called "spinner sheets":
- The VecoStandard range for current applications
- The VecoFlux and VecoFlux-Special for higher throughputs and/or lower purity molasses
- The VecoLife range for extended service lifetime
These three ranges respond to all your needs and exceed the required standards for quality.
The electroforming process used for the fabrication of sugar screens provides a perfectly smooth (mirror smooth) working surface, without burrs or bumps. The tapered cross-section of the slits reduced fouling and clogging.
The openings (slits) are radially aligned in their length, in multiple arc segments in order to ensure maximum separation of the crystals without damaging them during their path to the top of the centrifuge basket.
Whether you are looking for sugar screens with higher yield (greater mass throughput of massecuite), less pure final molasses (i.e. less rich in sugar, therefore, less sugar loss) or reduced maintenance costs (fewer production stoppages for changing sheets), Veco is the best choice.

Sugar screens for continuous centrifuges
Sugar screen - VecoStandard
VecoStandard sugar screens are used for current operations.
Their characteristics are:
- Perfectly smooth (mirror smooth) working surfaces in pure nickel, without burrs or bumps, covered with a chrome layer for longer service life. The sugar crystals easily migrate to the top of the screen and break up less.
- Tapered cross-section holes to reduce fouling and clogging.
- Slits laid out radially in multiple circular arc segments in the direction of the movement of the sugar crystals, providing optimal purity at maximum throughput.
- Dimensions in compliance with the specifications of centrifuge manufacturers.
VecoFlux sugar screens
VecoFlux sugar screens are recognised for their high efficiency in terms of throughput and better separation of the grains.
Thanks to a high open area (twice higher than standard screens with the same slit width (mesh)) and greater thickness, VecoFlux offers better purification and reduced consumption of fresh water.
VecoFlux is available with slit widths of 0.09 mm or 0.06 mm to increase the throughput of the centrifuge by up to 150% compared to the standard value.
They can also be used with a slit of 0.04 mm in the massecuite of the bottom product (3rd jet or Sugar C) to capture the smallest sugar crystals without loss of throughput.
VecoFlux - Special sugar screens
Sugar screens of the VecoFlux-Special range have the highest open area, the highest throughput and/or the lowest purity of the final molasses.
The new layout of slit zones to increase the service life, VecoFlex range even though it is already considerable.
VecoFlux-Special is available with slit widths of 0.09 mm or 0.06 mm to increase the throughput of the centrifuge by up to 170% compared to the standard value.
They can also be used with a slit of 0.04 mm in the massecuite of the bottom product (3rd jet or Sugar C) to capture the tiniest sugar crystals without loss of throughput. This yields molasses with a purity up to 2 points less and obvious and very substantial financial gains.
VecoLife sugar screens
VecoLife sugar screens have a service life up to twice as long as standard screens.
The increase in thickness greatly reduces the deformation of the working screens, this being the main cause of deterioration of the chrome plating and their embedding in the support screen (basket) in thick metal wire.
